 In september 2004 a book was published that I wrote together with my friend Tim, an autistic man in Belgium. Two years earlier I stumbled upon Tim's site, and this resulted in an interesting daily email correspondence, in which Tim told me about his life and experiences as an autistic adult . Tim's remarkable humor, intelligence and language abilities made our correspondence an ongoing adventure, resulting in a powerful book. There are a great many books written about autism, by experts, parents and people with autism themselves, and many are impressive. Nevertheless this book has unique merits, because it touches on subjects that are seldom mentioned in other books, and also because it's the result of an ongoing confrontation between the autistic outlook and the non-autistic one. The book is illustrated by Tim's drawings.
The book is selling well and has had nothing but excellent reviews. We are
now waiting for a publisher in an English or German speaking country to
publish a translation !!
